Your Greatest Creation…
Hello all! Sonja here today to share with you a masculine card I made. The inspiration for this card came from this metal tag I had lying around.
I chose three sheets of paper (cream, brown, and golden green) from the Basis sample pack I have on hand. After designing and cutting the card bases with Silhouette Studio and the Cameo 3, I got to work.
I started by embossing the cream layer with the timeless embossing folder and my Sizzix BigShot machine.
The card stock from CutCardStock is a heavier duty quality so it embosses nicely.
Next I assembled the cream to the green base and added it to the card base using Tombow mono glue and two brads.
I wanted the gears to be antiqued so I grabbed some Tim Holtz distress spray and got to work.
On a paper plate, this blob of ink is actually all three colors shown above.
I gently swirled each gear into the blob of ink
Using a pair of tweezers saved my fingers from being inked!
Next, I laid each gear on a paper towel to dry.
The finished product.
