We are excited to announce a new blog feature…. a spotlight on businesses that are using CutCardStock products! Kicking it off this month is Meryl from Celebration Studios.
We sent some questions to Meryl to get to know a little bit about her and her business. Celebration Studios creates custom bar and bat mitzvah invitations that don’t cost a fortune.
CutCardStock: Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Meryl: I’m a stay-at-home mom with a passion for paper, who’s been lucky enough to turn this into a small business.
CutCardStock: How has your business evolved?
Meryl: After making both my son’s bar mitzvah invitations, my best friend came to me with a problem. Her daughter was in love with a 3-layer bat mitzvah invitation they saw in a book, but it was thousands of dollars. I knew I could make it for a fraction of the cost. She started spreading the word, and it’s really been word-of-mouth since then.
CutCardStock: What is your favorite part of business?
Meryl: I love getting creative, trying new ideas and new paper, but the best part is seeing parents get emotional about their kid’s mitzvah, and seeing them super excited about their finished invitation.
CutCardStock: What is your favorite CutCardStock product?
Meryl: POW Glitter paper
CutCardStock: What bit of advice could you offer to someone starting their own business?
Meryl: Don’t underestimate the power of social media and word-of-mouth advertising!
