Hello everyone, Lisa M here today with a Mother’s Day card. I created a gift purse and smaller card using the brown bag envelope and A2 card.
To start with, I stamped the flap with clear embossing ink added white embossing powder and heat embossed it. I love how the white pops on the brown.
I scored the sides and bottom of the envelope 1/4″ from the edge. Then I scored the flap 1/4″ from the fold on the flag only.
I cut the scored edges off of the flap.
Next I folded the score lines on the bottom tucking the edge of the envelope in, creating a gusset.
I re-enforced the top with clear tape and punched holes. I added sheer organza ribbon through the holes and secured with glue dots.
To hide the ends of the ribbon, I lined the inside with a piece of patterned paper and added to velcro dots to close the purse.
I heat embossed the front flap of the A2 Folded Card.
I scored the back of the card 1/4″ from the original score line. I trimmed 1/4″ off the front edge and 1/2″ off of the top of the card. (This is so it will fit in the purse.)
I embellished the purse and card with die cut flowers and leaves using the Pop Tones cardstock. I added a stamped tag with a Pear Pin from A Jillian Vance Designs to the purse.
This project would also make a great teacher appreciation gift.
