Happy Thursday…. Amber here with you today. I hope you’re enjoying the first projects of 2015 from the Design Team! Today I wanted to share a little gift bag I made using the WeRMemory Keepers Gift Bag Punch Board. I just love how well the Stardream Metallic Amethyst cardstock worked for this project!
I started with an 8 1/2 x 11″ piece of cardstock, and I cut it down to size, scored and punched it according to the Gift Bag Punch Board guide.
I really found it simple to assemble. I held it together with glue dots and added satin ribbon to give it pretty handles. I’m thinking of a small, pretty light gift for this packaging… even a different way to present a gift card!
For the gift tag, I wanted to create a simple watercolor background. I love how the Savoy cotton cardstock works with the Distress inks for watercolor. I found it easy to just color on my craft surface and then pick up the color with my watercolor brush and bring it to the cardstock.
After the watercolor dried, I stamped my sentiment with Versamark ink and then brushed over Perfect Pearls. The shimmer from the Pearls goes beautifully with the shimmer in the Stardream Metallic cardstock of the bag!
