Also referred to as vellum, this paper lets light and images through subtly to add a real flair to most any project! It has a nice weight and feel to it and with the variety of colors we offer, you’re sure to find just what you need to add that something special to invitations, announcements or other crafty creation.
The translucent papers make beautiful overlays for invitations and announcements. Use with our gatefold invitations and inserts to create a gorgeous ensemble. For this I used Chartham Shimmery Gold Dust 30#.
I was amazed at how beautifully the translucent paper took the embossing from an embossing folder. I cut the Curious Translucent Plum down to an A2 size and then ran it through my BigShot using a Cuttlebug embossing folder (Modern Wallpaper). I think this would be gorgeous on the front of a card or the added texture on an overlay would add great detail to an invitation.
I also played with my heart punch a bit to see how a shimmery confetti would be. The translucent paper punched out really well and I think this would make such a fun party decoration or an added surprise in an envelope!
You’ll find a special 15% off translucents coupon in our latest newsletter, so now’s a good time to stock up on the translucent you love or give them a try!
