Hi, friends! Today is my last post for the CutCardStock online store, and I just want to start out by saying THANK YOU to Amber and Cindy for everything! I’ve enjoyed working with these beautiful papers and quality products–thank you for the opportunity! 🙂 Today, I’m getting us in the mood for a fall day with an autumnal card. Let’s get to it!
I started by using the Classic Crest Solar White cardstock to create a faux patina panel. Click HERE for a video tutorial on how to create this fun effect. I layered the panel onto some Curious Metallic Cognac paper. GORGEOUS!
Next, I turned to making the punched pumpkin. I started by punching three large ovals out of some beautiful Curious Metallic Mandarin paper. The subtle shine is fabulous!
After punching my ovals, I used some dark brown ink to sponge around the edge of each oval. This will give the effect of shadowing when you put the pumpkin together.
I layered two ovals behind the third to create a pumpkin shape. I then punched a small banner out of the Curious Metallic Cognac paper to use as a stem. CUTE!
I then layered all the elements onto a card base made with Muscletone Kraft 140LB cardstock. This cardstock is SO thick–I LOVE it! I think the finished product is just so pretty, and I hope you do, too! I’d love to hear your thoughts in the comments below! 🙂
