For today’s post, I thought it would be fun to create a “Let’s Hang Out” invitation for a girl’s night in!
First, I used 12 x 12 Basis Olive 80# cardstock for my 8 ½” x 5 ½” card base. I punched the edge with a decorative punch, and folded the card slightly off center so that the scalloped edge shows from the bottom.
Next, I used my Cricut to cut some cute tags using the scrap from the Basis Olive cardstock. I love how great this cardstock works with my Cricut! I also cut some ovals using the Cricut from 8 ½” x 11” PopTones Whipped Cream cardstock.
I adhered the oval to the tag, then stamped my sentiment and image, from Close to My Heart’s Pun Fun stamp set (C1505). I stamped the dress image again on patterned paper, also by Close to My Heart (Stella) and fussy cut around the dress, leaving the ruffle on the bottom off. I adhered the dress to the tag over the stamped dress image, with the ruffle peeking through on the whipped cream cardstock.
Finally, I adhered patterned paper to the card front, and adhered the tag to the card using 3D foam tape.
To add a little fun to the girl’s night in, I created some coordinating tags in the same size and color for little gifts to the girl’s night. The purses were cut with the Cricut Artiste cartridge by Close to My Heart.
