Summer is the perfect time to get together with family and friends for some backyard BBQ! Even if it’s a casual get together, it’s fun to take a little extra time to make cute invitations for your guests. These invites came together even faster using the Kraft A2 folded invitations!
Red & White checkered patterned paper from my stash
BBQ Stamps
Red ribbon
Ink
Adhesive
Cut base piece of checkered paper to 4” x 3”.(With this size, you’ll be able to make 12 invitations using just one piece of your patterned paper.)Adhere it to the Kraft invitation.
I stamped the “BBQ” in the very bottom corner to give myself room to add my barbeque image.
Stamp the barbeque on a piece of Natural cardstock; mine was sized 2” x 3” for the stamp I’m using.I stamped in Jet Black StazOn and then colored in some shadowing at the base using Warm Gray No. 0 Copic marker. Then, just to make it pop a bit, I sponged on some red ink around the edges and darkened the cut sides with a dark gray marker.
I tied a bit of red ribbon around the bottom of the image and then adhered it to the card with dimensional adhesive.
Now all that’s left is to fill out the details inside and plan the menu for the Summer party!
