Winners, Guest Designers and a New Shimmer Contest

Have you seen the fabulous entries for our Fall contest ? I inserted a photo slide show on the left so that every one can check them out. Once again everyone made it hard for us to choose only 2 winners. So before I announce the winners, I want to let you know that I am extremely excited about our next contest and the awesome prize.

What we have decided to do is every month bring on board some Guest Designers to inspire us with ideas in what we can do with cardstock. This month we have two fantastic artist that will be creating for us and showcasing their work on the 5th of December. Roree Rumph and Linda Beeson.…….. and when I say these ladies are awesome, I mean that they have been blowing me away with their art work and creativity!

So…. to up the stakes for December’s Holiday Contest the winner will be winning a spot here as Guest Designer and showcasing their work for the month of January. We will also have a runner up that will win a $20.00 merchandise certificate to our store at http://www.cutcardstock.com/

When: November 10th – thru November 24th “2008”

This contest is super easy and FUN with a winner receiving a: Guest Designer spot for the month of January and a runner up will win a $20.00 merchandise gift card to our store at http://www.cutcardstock.com/
Timeline: November 10th – November 24th Ending Midnight CST (remember you only have 2 weeks to get your entry in versus the previous contest where you had 3 weeks)

The Rules:
1.) Enjoy and enter by making a card, project or layout that shimmers and glitters. You can use some of our fabulous METALLIC CARDSTOCK, Glimmer Mist (Tattered Angels), glitter or stickles. If its shiny it qualifies.
2.) Post and load it up to your favorite gallery
3.) Post and Link it back to our Blog so we can see it here at http://www.cutcardstock.blogspot.com/
4.) Email me your entry as well as any questions to Norma@cutcardstock.com
Just as a reminder – You are not required to use our card stock however we would love to see what you can do with it since we may be looking for a DT in the future (wink wink).

I hope you guys will enjoy this contest and once again it is left up to your best interpretation. Cards, projects and or layouts are eligible entries. You are more than welcome to use other products but the highlight should be on card stock. We also ask that you submit no more than two entries. We are super excited to see how creative and what you come up with using card stock
I am also excited to give you another free download. I wanted to help you with your Christmas cards so what I did was created a digital 4×6 that you can add a family picture to it, it can than be printed and adhered to cardstock.

Take a peek here at how I added a black and white picture of my precious three and it was super easy to print as a borderless 4×6. I than double stickied it to the cardstock. Now the silver card is our 5×7 Stardream Metallic Silver A7 invite with the matching A7 envelopes. I decided to go this route so that I can include a family newsletter on the inside printed using some of our Brockway Deckle Edge 80lb text in white paper.

Here is the zip file download link that can be used to add your picture in Elements and Photoshop. Now remember that I made this to print up as a borderless 4×6 so that you would have 1″ of cardstock showing around the print. I also did this so that if you print at home you can fit three on an 8.5 x 11 sheet and if you sent out to print it would not get expensive.
