Happy May everyone. Carol from thr DT here sharing a quick and easy Thank You using an Exact A-2 invitation set from CutCardstock.com. Some of my friends ( and my husband) tease me because I like my cards and envelopes to match. They don’t always, but whenever I can make that happen I do! That’s why I like invitation sets.
Using the invitation set as my inspiration, I found a coordinating scrap of paper in my scrap stash, trimmed it slightly smaller than the A-2 card and taped it on. This was for a guy, and I’m always challenged when it comes to guy cards, so I grabbed this graphic stamp that looked kind of guy-ish ( that’s a word right?) and stamped it on cream cardstock using coordinating blue ink.
After stamping it, I trimmed it, added some washi tape , mounted it onto a green scrap and then trimmed that to size.
I ran a strip of washi tape down another scrap of the cream cardstock and cut into a chevron shape, then adhered that to the side of the card.
To tie everything together I added strips of both washi tapes to the envelope.
This really was a fast card to make. Definitely less than 10 minutes but it’s totally OK for the recipient to think it took me much longer!
Inspiration (MFT’s Sketch #58 & Julie Dinn) Today my card uses the themes often associated with breast cancer awareness (pink and living strong), along with an anonymous quote that I think hits home with those fighting and surviving breast cancer. The patterned paper is by My Mind’s Eye and I love the colors and images because…
I know the tepee cards seem to have been around for a long time and while making some -just to practice- because I had never made one before, the idea came to mind. Tepees for Christmas. Yes! Why not, right? I said to myself. I started gathering what I needed: cardstock, embossing folder, ink, scoring…
In need of a cute gift for a hostess or for co-workers… here is fun and quick project. I created a cover for a post-it note pad. I started with a 3.5″ x 8.5″ piece of Vista Stardream Metallic Cardstock. I scored it at .5″, 1″, 1.5″, 4.5″, 5″,…

Today I wanted to show you a sweet little card that will surely brighten someone’s day, whether it’s sunny or raining! Stripes are my favorite pattern. Well, that and polka dots. Most of my closet is full of striped tops & shoes. They look so good with jeans, don’t they? And jeans are my everyday uniform since I work out of the house nowadays. You know what else stripes look good on? Cards. I have a…
