Cabana Style Invitations

Ready to bring a little cabana charm to your invitations? I recently hosted a poolside party and wanted my invitations to give off a bright, but relaxed vibe. Hi, I’m Maureen (A Little Mo Crafty) and I want to show you how easy these are to assemble. Let’s “dive” in!

Card Base

Start with a top fold card by cutting an 8.5″ by 11″ piece of Classic Crest Solar White cardstock in half on the short side. Score the pieces in the middle at 5.5″. Take a few pieces of Pop Tone Gumdrop Green and DCS Pearlized Strawberry Pink and cut strips at 4.25″ by .75″ in length. Note: I’m using the non-pearlized side, and I love this paper because of the flexibility for use!

Next, adhere the strips of paper to the front panel of your Classic Crest Solar White top fold card. I alternated cards by starting with pink first, then green, for some variation.

Printing the Invite

I don’t have a lot of fonts to choose from on my computer so I first created my title on my Cricut. I saved this as an image and transferred it over to a Word document as a title image.

Then, on a printer, I printed the details of my party in pinks, greens and blues. The Classic Crest Solar White 80lb. paper works well for this! Cut these out to a 4.25″ width so it will cover the full panel, and trim to the height that you need.

After this, I cut out ovals in a paper that looked like water. Additionally, I used a stitched die cut so it would look like a swimming pool. Adhere this to the middle of the front panel. Then, attach the party detail panel to the front.

Embellishing Your Card

Finally I was ready to decorate! I found a leaf die in my stash and cut a few palm fronds in Canvas Textured Bonzai Green. Adhere these to the corners of your card along with any embellishment you like. Flowers and gems work well here.

Now it’s time to party! You can hand deliver or mail these cute invitations for your next event. I am so pleased with how they turned out.
