Hi, I’m Carrianne, and in this step-by-step tutorial I’ll show you how I created this layered floral card using CutCardStock as the base for every element—from stenciling to dimensional assembly.

Step 1: Create the Stenciled Background Panels

Using a Classic Crest Solar White panel, I began building the background design with the Altenew Flowers and Petals Layering Stencil. The goal was to create soft, layered floral interest using ink blending for dimension and depth.

I started with the leafy stencil layers using Sweet Dreams Fresh Dye Ink, blending through the stencil with brushes to create soft blue foliage as the base of the design.

Next, I continued building the design by adding the floral stencil layers using Red Cosmos Fresh Dye Ink. This step adds contrast and depth, transforming the background into a fully layered floral panel.

Step 2: Die-Cut the Focal Panel

Once the stenciling was complete, I placed a Hero Arts Rectangle Die over the floral panel and cut the focal area.

This step helps frame the design and creates a clean, structured composition.

Step 3: Build the Layered Card Base

The die-cut focal panel was adhered to a Surf cardstock base cut with the PhotoPlay Stitched Scallops Die.

This adds texture and contrast while showcasing the soft floral design on a strong, stable base.

Step 4: Add Sentiment & Finish the Card

The sentiment was stamped in black ink onto Classic Crest Solar White cardstock and die-cut twice for added dimension. It was placed on the lower right of the focal panel to balance the design.

To complete the card, iridescent clear sequins were added for a soft, elegant sparkle.
