Sunny Side Treat Box
Sometimes I just need a little bit of cheer, especially on a long week. Don’t you feel that way too? I also want to have projects ready to gift that will bring a smile to someone’s face. Hi, I’m Maureen (A Little Mo Crafty) and I created this sunshine popcorn treat box with that in mind. You ready to share some sunny smiles? Let’s get started making this cute sunny side treat box with some of the bright and cheerful CutCardStock products!

Box Assembly
First, start with a sheet of Neenah Classic Solar White. I prefer the 110lb. for this project as it holds more weight when assembled. Cut a popcorn box shape from a die cut (mine is from Scrappy Boy) or from an electronic machine.

Next, assemble the pieces around the bottom square by laying them on a flat surface. This helps to keep the seams even.

Reinforce with a second inner square for stability. Fold up on the fold lines and glue sides together using the tabs.

Decorating the Sunny Side Treat Box
Now, cut the outer pieces in Lessebo Sunflower Yellow, and cut them apart in stripes. Glue a stripe down in every other section order.

Then cut a sun shape using your favorite die or a shape from a machine. I found a cute sunglasses die, too, so I added the sunglasses. Colors used were DCS Textured Orange Adobo, Lessebo Sunflower Yellow and Stardream Metallic Onyx Black.

Lastly, pop this on to the front using a small piece of foam.

Filling With Treats
Finally it’s time for the fun part – deciding what treat you’re going to fill your box with! Mine has dried fruits. Additionally, you can also fill them with candy or crafty ephemera too. What will you put inside yours? Let me know in the comments!
In conclusion, be sure to check out the wide variety of colors available on the CutCardStock site. It will cheer you up to see all the wonderful color options. See you next time!
