Smile, Cutie!

Hello, friends! I think as papercrafters we all have difficulty parting with scraps of paper. When does a piece of cardstock become too small to keep? Toni here to show you how I used up a bunch of my scraps on my Smile, Cutie! Valentine card.

To create the background of the card, I gathered up scraps of Pop Tone Sno Cone, Bubble Gum, Grapesicle, Pink Lemonade, and Spearmint along with Lessebo Bubble Gum Pink and Sweet Mint cardstocks.

I cut these down into various sizes of strips then randomly adhered them to a piece of printer paper. Using the printer paper allowed the resulting panel to be 3D embossed quite easily.

For the critter, I used scraps for its adorable outfit. However, I diecut its body from Environment Desert Storm, Royal Sundance Kraft, and Discount Sand Castle Tan cardstocks.

The conversation hearts used up even more scraps with the exception of the large heart I cut from Curious Translucent cardstock. Even the backing of the conversation hearts used up Cougar White cardstock scraps!

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my card. Have a great rest of your day!
