Be Mine, Mine, Mine! Interactive Card

Are you a fan of interactive cards? Toni here and I certainly am! Indeed, who doesn’t like being able to pull, push, or open a card for a little surprise?

The Interactive mechanism

For this quirky Valentine card, I used a set of Lawn Fawn dies to create a pull and slide card that pops up the central panel and reveals a hidden message at the same time.

Specifically, I used the below cardstocks for the interactive mechanism:

To allow the sentiment to be more easily read on top of the diecut hearts, I had stamped & embossed the Curious Translucent Clear cardstock with a Lawn Fawn (black) and Waffle Flower (pink) sentiment.

Likewise, I embossed the sentiment on the upper pull tab as well. I hadn’t originally planned to use the sentiment tag but messed up my embossing on the main panel so had to cover my mistake.

the critters

Since I was using a Spellbinders walrus and seagull as the main characters, I leaned into the nautical theme with water as created by the Bazzill Marble Robin’s Egg cardstock. For the same reason, I created a sailor motif made up of:

To create a fair isle sweater, I used a Taylored Expressions coverplate to cut the Lessebo Blossom Pink cardstock. Doesn’t that walrus look particularly cozy?

Thanks for stopping by and checking out my cards. Have a great rest of your day!
