Vintage Style Valentines

Hello CutCardStock friends! Now that we’ve rung in the new year, let’s look forward to our next big holiday on the calendar. Valentine’s Day! Birgit here with you today, sharing some cute vintage style Valentine’s cards I made using top quality cardstock from CutCardStock.

The Supplies:

For today’s project, I used the following supplies: 80# DCS Canvas Textured Habanero Red, 83# Lessebo Blossom Pink, 80# Neenah Classic Crest Solar White, as well as dies and rub-ons from my stash.

Die Cutting:

To begin with, I die cut two scalloped hearts out of Habanero Red and two scalloped hearts out of Lessebo Blossom Pink cardstock. To add a layer on top, I die cut four stitched hearts out of Classic Crest Solar White cardstock.

Choosing the Images:

Next, I chose the images I wanted to used from the sheets of rub-ons. I purchased these vintage style rub-ons from Amazon. The images are crisp and clear and there were a lot to choose from.

Once the images were chosen, I cut them out of the sheets, keeping my scissors close to the image outline. I then played around with the image placement on the stitched hearts until I was happy with the designs. I then proceeded to rub the images onto the stitched hearts, trimming off any extra image from the edge.

Next, I glued the stitched hearts onto the centers of each of the scalloped hearts using Tombow Mono Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue.

Moving to the back side, I stamped the words “To” and “From”, so I could personalize the Valentine’s Cards.

To finish the Valentine’s cards off, I stamped a small sentiment in the leftover white space on the front of the card.

The Finished Project:

These vintage style Valentine’s cards turned out so cute!

They bring back childhood memories when we would share Valentine’s cards with friends at school.

I truly enjoy using all the quality cardstocks found in the CutCardStock store. They offer a rainbow of colors, and a variety of weights and textures. Mixing and matching cardstock is easy and fun!
