Winter (Birthday) Wishes
Every year I make a handful of multi-purpose holiday/winter/Valentine cards just in case the mail is slow or I am in the mailing. Consequently, even if the card arrives late to the recipient, it’s still appropriate to the season. Do you do the same? Toni here and let’s jump right in to see how I made these cute cards.

Layered scene version
Both sets of cards started with a letter-pressed snowflake background using Savoy 100% Cotton Cardstock. I the same inks to add a touch of color to the Stardream Metallic Eris cardstock houses layer. For added sparkle, I cut the hill from Silk Glitter Opulent Opal cardstock.
Next, I had great fun assembling the fox from Pop Tone Blue Raspberry, Pop Tone Black Licorice, Pop Tone Orange Fizz, and Cougar White cardstocks. Again, I sponged the pieces with a bit of Catherine Pooler ink to create shadow.

Scalloped Background version
For the second card, I mixed it up by turning the fox into my cat, a long-haired orange king of a beast. Additionally, I utilized the remainder of the snowflake letter-pressed cardstock. This time I mounted it on a Silk Glitter Sparkling Water Aqua cardstock scalloped panel.
I kept the card base simpler with an impressed Cougar White cardstock panel. This allowed the scalloped element to really draw the eye.

Rinse and repeat in pink
Although I used bunnies as the critters, I approached the second set of cards in similar fashion. I assembled the bunnies from Lessobo Blossom Pink, DCS Discount Sand Castle Tan, DCS Discount Raspberry Ice, and Cougar White cardstocks. There are variations in the composition of the layers but the overall effect is the same.
Aren’t they all so cute?!

Thanks for stopping by and have a great rest of your day!
