Sleigh Bells Slay!

Hello Friends! Are you like me and you make cards in multiples, but prefer that each of them is different? Hi, it’s Patty and I am going to show you five cards that have very similar die cuts on them, but slight differences. The die is a sleigh bell die and I love it! Sleigh bells slay!

Getting Started

To make all five cards, I die cut all of the pieces out many times over. It took about 45 minutes while watching crafty videos. Next, I gathered all of the pinecone parts together and pounced Vintage photo on the pinecone base and Gathered Twigs on the top layer.

Next, I gathered all of the greenery together and pounced Iced Spruce ink on to the boughs. I wanted some white to show through, I am going for an icy, frosty look to this card.

Then I gathered all of the bell base layers and colored where the cut outs would show to give a shadow effect. I used a Copic C8 to do this. There was no damag done to my marker. The glitter paper has a ton of sparkle, but nothing rubs off. It is fabulous!

Finally, I gathered all the bow backs and colored over them with Copic Marker B99.

Next Steps

This step went really fast! The bell layers were glued together and all of the bow layers were glued together. Then, I used my BetterPress system to press and cut out my sentiments. They are stamped in Catherine Pooler’s Day Dream ink.

To create the base layer for my card, I took five A2 panels of Cougar White Cardstock and embossed them with Simon Says Stamps Filigree Snowflake embossing folder. This folder is beautiful! I cut a backing layer out of Sno-Cone Cardstock and a focal layer as well. The Greetery Nordic Frames was the die for the focal layer.

Finishing Steps

To finish the cards, I layer everything out and glued it down. I did use foam tape on two of the cards, otherwise every other card is flat. To add a finishing touch, I used the berry die that is in the set to create Juniper Berries for my greenery.
