Happy Holidays Friends

It was love at first sight for me and these adorable building front dies. Hi everyone, Natalie on the blog today and I am sharing fun new dies used to create this “Happy Holidays” card. I knew they would look so good with any of the gorgeous colors from CutCardstock. No matter which shade you choose—bright, bold, or soft and subtle—the details in these dies really come to life.

Let’s take a look at my card for today. You could make this for almost any occasion simply by changing the colors and the sentiment. I kept this one more traditional holiday style by using the colors

Natural White, Royal Sundance Felt Card Stock. (This is such a creamy, beautiful cardstock)

Lessebo Hunter Green

Lessebo Dawn Maroon

When I made my card, I found it easier to assemble one building at a time. It might also help to have small containers to hold each piece as you cut them out.

Putting it together:

1. Create the card base
Cut the Natural White cardstock to 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″.
Score at 4 1/4″ to form a side-folding card.

2. Prepare the background layers
Cut your patterned paper to 4″ x 5 1/4″.
Mount it onto a slightly larger piece of Hunter Green cardstock to create a clean, framed look.
Adhere this layered piece to the front of your card base.

3. Cut and assemble the buildings
Die-cut or trim all your building pieces. I found it easiest to cut and assemble each building one at a time.

4. Attach the buildings
Once all the buildings are assembled, add them to your card front. Use foam tape for dimension.

5. Create and add the sentiment
Cut your sentiment layers from Hunter Green and Natural White cardstock.
Assemble the sentiment and adhere it to your card in the placement shown.

And there you have it! The cardstock truly makes these whimsical building fronts stand out. Its sturdiness gives the structures a clean, crisp look. The color and texture add depth that regular paper just can’t achieve.

Thanks for stopping by the blog today.
