Better Together Wine Tags

This year I was invited to another house for Thanksgiving, so it’s time to get Mo’ Crafty with some CutCardStock! Hi, I’m Maureen (A Little Mo Crafty), and I want to share my holiday project with you. This easy idea adds a touch of homemade charm to any hostess gift: a wine tag hanger!

Start by cutting out your favorite Thanksgiving dies. I have been eager to use this cornucopia set I got, so I cut these pieces in DCS Ginger Snap Brown, Basis Green, Basis Burgundy, Pop Tone Orange Fizz, Lessebo Sunflower Yellow, and Lessebo Pitch Black.

Next, add dimension to the pieces by sponging the edges with ink. You can also add gel pen accents if you like.

Assemble the cornucopia as shown. Then, take a few pieces of raffia ribbon and tie them in a knot. I do this so the pieces stay in place when I glue them. Glue one side, cut off the knot, and then glue the other side.

After that, layer the die-cut pieces on the cornucopia. I popped up the pumpkin with a foam piece and added layers around the edges for extra dimension.

Now, cut two pieces for your wine tags. I’m using Basis Green and Basis Burgundy, cutting them to 2.75″ by 6″. Then, cut a small circle at the top with a die cut so the tag can hang over the bottle.

Next, choose a sentiment. I cut out the word “together” in Classic Linen Solar White and Basis Burgundy, and I also tried an alternate variation in Basis Green. Glue the layers together, and then attach the sentiment to your wine tag.

Finally, glue the cornucopia to the bottom of the tag. Your wine tag is complete, and you’ve created a meaningful hostess gift in just minutes!

Which colors are you choosing for your Fall and Thanksgiving projects this year? CutCardStock has so many rich colors to choose from, many with beautiful textures. Check out their November sales before the end of the month, and thanks for joining me today!
