Candy Corn Themed Card!

Hey everybody! Well, another week is behind us and I hope you had a great weekend! Are you making very many Halloween cards this year? Seems like every year that passes I make a few more than I did the previous year. Leslie here, sharing a tutorial for making a super cute candy corn themed card. I really chuckled while making this one. There are always a ton of posts from people who dislike candy corn. I personally love it, so when I saw this SVG cut file, I knew I had to have it. I used Cougar Smooth White, Lessebo Brick Orange, and Lessebo Sunflower Yellow. Also used Pop Tone Black Licorice along with some candy corn patterned paper in my stash.

Cut the Candy Corn Pieces

I started by cutting the pieces from Cougar Smooth White, Lessebo Brick Orange, and Lessebo Sunflower Yellow. Also used Pop Tone Black Licorice for the letters and outline. I assembled the focal, popping the candy corn up on foam squares, and set it aside.

Card Base & Layers

Next, I cut the card base and two front embellishing strips from Pop Tone Black Licorice. Similarly, I cut a front layering panel and inside embellishing strip from Lessebo Brick Orange. Not pictured is the white inside layering panel (it was off to the side, dang it). Then finally, I cut a front layering panel and strip as well as an inside strip from coordinating papers in my stash. I rounded the bottom right corner of the card base and layering panels.

Adhere the Layers

The black embellishing strips and the patterned paper strip were adhered to the front layering panel. Also adhered the patterned paper strip to the inside white layering panel and added several candy corn stickers.

Add Candy Corn Focal Image & Sentiment

Additionally, I adhered the focal image to the front panel and a sentiment sticker to the inside panel.

Complete Candy Corn Themed Card

To complete the project, I adhered the front and inside panels to the card base. I just love how this turned out!
