Wishing You all the Best

Hello, cardstock lovers! Natalie here.
Today, I’m excited to share a project that completely exceeded my expectations. The colors and the idea came together so easily and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out.

I was in need of a few more masculine cards. Autumn’s colors are in full swing here in North Dakota. They are too beautiful to resist. So, I selected these colors for the card

I started with the stunning Stardream Copper—truly a showstopper. If you haven’t worked with this cardstock yet, you’re in for a treat. Its rich shimmer and luxurious feel make it a must-have in any collection. I honestly can’t get enough of it!

Next, I layered Lessebo Hunter’s Green over Lessebo Navy Blue. These two colors look great together and give off a nice, natural feel. Perfect for masculine cards or anything with a fall vibe.

Trimming the pieces

  • Trim Stardream Copper cardstock to 5 1/2″ x 8 1/4″ and score at 4 1/4″ to create a side-folding card base
  • Cut the Lessebo Hunter’s Green to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and emboss it using your chosen folder. Then, lightly blend green ink over the raised areas—just enough to catch the texture. It really makes the design pop, doesn’t it?
  • Cut the Lessebo Navy Blue just slightly larger than the Hunter Green for a subtle edge. That small detail made a surprisingly big impact.

Adding the focal

  • For the sentiment, area, I first cut a medium-sized circle out of the Stardream Copper. Then came a smaller circle made from the Navy. And to finish off the circles, I added one cut from some gorgeous, coordinating patterned paper. It really helped tie the colors together.
  • To make the sentiment. Green ink was stamped onto Classic Crest Ivory cardstock. This cardstock holds ink beautifully—leaving a clean, crisp impression.
  • Don’t forget a few sequins.

Finishing up

  • To finish, layer everything as shown. It is really not a difficult card to make, but the cardstock colors really make it a showstopper.
