Lemonade Friendship Card

Hi friends – I hope you’re having a super wonderful Friday! Do you love having a variety of friendship cards on hand to use in a pinch? I sure do, and it’s easy to build up your stash in a weekend. Leslie here, sharing a tutorial for making a super cute lemonade-themed friendship card. I’m sure you can guess I’ve been (still) playing with my Cricut – and OMGosh, this was a FUN one. I used quite a few varieties of our cardstock to make this card. And I will tell you that I absentmindedly used Basis Gold cardstock which is no longer carried in the store. I checked my stash of yellow and orange cardstock and determined that Lessebo Sunset Orange would be a great substitute.

Cut the Lemonade Friendship Card Pieces

Cut the card base and inserts from Cougar 110# Smooth White 12×12 cardstock.

Glass outline, lemon inside outlines, ice cubes and flower from Wedding Cake 12×12.

Lemon rinds and starburst layer from Basis Gold. Remember, I mentioned above that Basis Gold is no longer carried and Lessebo Sunset Orange would be a good substitute.

Lemons and starburst from Yellow Jacket.

Lemonade in glass from Light Yellow.

Leaves from Pop Tone Jellybean Green.

Glass from Lessebo Arctic Blue.

Straw and rectangles from Wild Salmon.

Assemble Front, Inserts & Back

Using Tombow Mono Multi Purpose Liquid Glue, adhere the appropriate pieces to the front and first insert.

I used the ‘Print then Cut’ function on my Cricut for the sentiment rectangle on the front.

Next, adhere the appropriate pieces to the second insert, which is the star of the show!

Finally, adhere the appropriate pieces to the back.

Put it all Together & Complete Lemonade Friendship Card

Afterwards, once again using Tombow Mono Multi Purpose Liquid Glue, adhere the tabs on the front and back. Additionally, glue the inserts in place. Now your sweet (pun intended) card is complete!
