Summertime Watermelon Box Card
Hey everybody, happy Tuesday! Tell me this… where did July go?! Leslie here, sharing a tutorial for making a summertime watermelon box card. After all, we are still in the throes of Summer. And I know most folks are wishing it would start cooling off. Maybe this card full of sweet juicy watermelons will help do that! I’ve had lots of Cricut playtime over the past couple months and have enjoyed every minute of it. For this card I used Lessebo Coffee Bean, Classic Crest 80# Solar White, Pop Tone Black Licorice and Red Hot. Also used Pop Tone Banana Split, Gumdrop Green, Jellybean Green and Hot Fudge along with Scottish Highlands Green.

Cut the Watermelon Box Card Pieces
Using an SVG cut file in my stash, I cut the pieces for the crate from Lessebo Coffee Bean and Pop Tone Hot Fudge. I cut the inserts from Lessebo Coffee Bean as well.
Next, I cut the watermelons from Pop Tone Black Licorice, Red Hot, Gumdrop Green and Jellybean Green.
Finally, I cut the flowers from Pop Tone Banana Split and the vines from Scottish Highlands Green.

Assemble Front & First Insert
Adhere the appropriate pieces to the front and first insert, and set aside.

Assemble 2nd Insert & Back
Additionally, adhere the appropriate pieces to the second insert and the back.

Add Sentiments
Glue the sentiments to the front and back pieces. I used alpha stickers and a sentiment sticker from a couple collection kits in my stash. Certainly, stamped sentiments would work also.

Complete Summertime Watermelon Box Card
Besides assembling the box and gluing the inserts in place, we need to add some embellishments. Accordingly, I added an adhesive brad to the center of each flower, and this completed the card.

Summing up, these are the other products I used:
DIES/PUNCHES: Cyndy G SVGs Watermelon Crate Box Card SVG cut file
ACCESSORIES: Cricut Explore Air 2, My Sweet Petunia Precision Glue Press, Bearly Art precision craft glue, Scrapbook Adhesives Thin 3D Foam Squares, Echo Park My Favorite Summer Adhesive Brads and Sentiment Sticker, Carta Bella Flora No. 6 Alpha Stickers
