Sweet Birthday
Today, I have a sweet birthday card that turned out fun and fresh. Hi everyone, Natalie here! I just love this time of year when the fruits and vegetables are fresh off the vine. A fresh picked strawberry is one of the yummiest things available. My card uses a super sweet strawberry die along with a cute matching sentiment.
Let’s take a look at my card

For today’s card, I used this selection of colors from CutCardStock:
For today’s card, I began by die-cutting all of the pieces shown below. Initially, I planned to use Red Pepper Cardstock behind the Stardream White. Although, after experimenting, I ultimately decided to go with a clean white-on-white background

I cut the card base to 4 1/4″ x 11″, scored it at 5 1/2″ to create a top-folding card. Stardream Metallic Cardstock for this as well—the weight is perfect for sturdy card bases. I typically create top-folding designs more than any other style. Maybe it’s time to challenge myself and try something different!
Putting it all together;
I started my card by using liquid glue to add the die-cut background to the card base. For something of this design, I find it the easiest to use. The die-cut strawberries were placed on the card base in a soft triangular pattern, using foam adhesive. I love how these stand out on the white background. I added the stamped and die-cut sentiments to the card. Still, it needed a little something more. I chose to die-cut some small flowers out of white cardstock. I colored the centers yellow and then randomly placed the flowers around the strawberries. Then, to top it off, some clear iridescent dots were added.
How about another look at my completed card?!

I hope you have enjoyed my card for today.
