Let’s make a card using only die cuts!
Who needs stamps and stickers when you can create a stunning handmade card using nothing but die cuts? Let’s dive into the magic of layering, texture, and dimension—all with the power of die-cutting!

Materials you will need:
- Die-cutting machine
- A variety of dies (flowers, frames sentiments, etc.)
- Cardstock in your chosen colors
- Adhesives
- Dye ink pads in coordinating colors and blending brushes
- Embellishments (sequins, pearls, or glitter)
- Scissors and tweezers (needed for placement)
Step by Step Instructions:
Step 1: Choose design and colors
For this tutorial, I’ll be making a floral-themed card for a friend who just lost a loved one. I don’t have any sympathy sentiments, but I want her to know that I am thinking of her and have the perfect hand lettered die. I selected colors that were bright and cheery but not too bold for the occasion. The chosen colors of cardstock are from our Lessebo line, Blossom and Amazon. DCS Yellow Jacket and the white cardstock is Cougar White Super Smooth 80#. I chose a stencil and die combination set to create the florals for the focal point of my card, and a gorgeous stitched long oval die for the florals to sit.

Step 2: Prepare cardstock and images to die cut
Using a blending brush I colored the flowers onto the Cougar white card stock with the coloring stencil. This cardstock is so smooth and PERFECT for ink blending! I now cut the stenciled flowers out with the coordinating die and the sentiments three times (for added dimension) from the Cougar white cardstock using an electric die cutting machine. I also used a beautiful cover plate to create a beautiful impression into the Cougar white card front panel and and the stitched oval die cut. The shadow layer to the sentiment die is CutCardStock DSC Yellow Jacket, The fancy frame is cut out of the Lessebo Blossom and the back layer of the card panel is Lessebo Amazon.

Step 4: Assemble florals and card panels
Start by attaching the background and frame first. You may use foam tape to lift your frame and some of the floral elements to create a 3D effect if you choose. Stack the sentiments and glue them together for added dimension and adhere to the yellow shadow layers.
Step 5: Add final touches
Finally, place the sentiment around the floral piece to balance it all out. Enhance your card with embellishments like sequins, gems, or glitter glue to add sparkle to your card.

The final look!
Creating a card using all die cut images is so much fun! With endless possibilities for themes and designs, you can personalize each card to fit any occasion.
