Winter is Here

Merry Christmas Eve!
It’s Ceal, here. Today I am sharing a couple cards which aren’t necessarily Christmas because Christmas is tomorrow! Can you believe it? It’s crazy, right??? This year has literally flown by.
On both of these cards I used the Stardream Metallic cardstock. I have fallen in love with this cardstock! The first card uses the Alpine Village die set by Concord & 9th. Die sets like these give you a chance to use your colored cardstock. With this one in particular you can create scenes in different seasons. Of course I chose a winter scene with winter on the way.

To make this card, I started white top folding card base precut and prescored Neenah Classic Crest Solar White. It makes it much faster to have your bases precut. I used the Stardream Aquamarine metallic cardstock on the sky and pond. The mountain tops and street use Stardream Eris metallic cardstock. I particularly love how the street looks iced over. Obviously the other elements use regular colored cardstock but I did add the metallic cardstock to the roofs. I also added white gel pen to the trees and ski lift for snow. Who is ready to go skiing?

Although it is a totally different card, this card also uses mostly Stardream metallic cardstock. To make this card, I started with the same card base as previously mentioned above. The die set I used is Kristina Werner’s collection with Concord & 9th. This snowflakes are so beautiful, especially cut out of the metallic cardstock. I used Aquamarine, Eris and Silver. The panel underneath the snowflakes is the Snowfall card front die also by Concord & 9th. To finish the card I stamped joy in powder ink (which matches the aquamarine perfectly) and cut it with the coordinating die.

Supplies:
Stardream Metallic Cardstock in Aquamarine, Eris and Silver. Leesbo Cardstock in Saltwater, Dawn Maroon, Hunter Green and Granite. Discount Cardstock in Light Yellow and Black.
Thank you for stopping by and I wish you all a joyous Holiday!

The detail on the Alpine Village card is amazing. It is a beautiful card. But since I am a lover of snowflakes, I really love the Joy card with the beautiful metallic snowflakes. I love the colors that you used, and the joy sentiment looks perfect for this card. Thanks for the inspiration on this one. I will be making some of my own for winter wishes cards. Happy New Year!
