Christmas Parade
Oh how I love a parade especially when someone you love is in it! Living in a small agriculture town means there’s always a tractor (or two) in the parade sporting some bright Christmas lights.
That was the inspiration for this scrapbook layout. I searched in Cricut Design Space for the tractor & trailer cut file and also the Christmas lights. The interesting thing is I was really paying attention to the lights because I didn’t want them to be too small & fussy to cut but what I should have paid attention to was the tractor. Wow! This one had way too many little pieces but since I used great quality cardstock from CutCardStock, it all cut so beautifully and went together perfectly.
After cutting all the pieces with the Cricut, I cut three pieces of Christmas patterned papers. One at 5″, 3.5″ and 2.25″ and all at 11.5″ length. To save a brand new piece of Pepper Red 12×12 cardstock, I used the leftover piece from all the Cricut cuts. This is a great tip and paper saver!

One thing I always stress is to put the pieces together before adding adhesive…well, I should have listened to my own advice because if you look real closely, you can see how I added adhesive to the wrong side of the piece on the front of the tractor.

Each piece was adhered using liquid adhesive and once they were all adhered, highlights were added using black/white pens and even a clear glitter marker on the Christmas bulbs!

I love to print small pictures for my scrapbook layouts and the parade was perfect for this. Create a collage on a 4×6 canvas from your local photo processing store to do this cheaply. This layout has 11 photos!
