Happy Purr-thday!

Some of my favorite cards to make are pet themed – and even better if combined with metallic cardstock!

For this project, I used Stardream Metallic Rose Quartz and Azalea Cardstocks for this card. They are beautiful colors with a metallic shimmer. I love the Stardream Metallic Cardstocks – not only are the colors gorgeous, but they are a nice thick cardstock too! You can ink blend on them so easily!

I did some ink blending though a stencil on the Rose Quartz cardstock – I used a pink color that matched the Azalea cardstock. I wanted an area at the top to remain blank, so I used a piece of acetate as a mask over the stencil at the top.

The inks glides on so beautifully on the Stardream cardstocks. I love inking on them!

I die cut a kitty border on the Azalea cardstock and used liquid glue to adhere that right on the line of where the stenciling stops at the top of the card.

Another one of my favorite finds at the Cut Cardstock shop are the pre cut and pre scored card bases! These are a must have! My favorite is the A2 110# card bases.

Once I folded the card base, I applied adhesive all over the front of the white card base and carefully lined the pink panel onto the base.

All that was left was to add some bling and our metallic kitty card is done!
