Whale Shadow Box
Have you wanted to try these 3D shadow box projects that are so popular right now? I’m so glad I leaped in with this easy whale shadow box project.

This one was pretty simple but also SO PRETTY! There were only three colors of cardstock used to complete it. The three colors are Patriot Blue, Blast Off Blue, and Wedding Cake White. You could certainly use any tone of blue or white with this project.

I kept the original size at 10″ square even though I’m putting it in a 12×12″ frame. Cricut Design Space did all the work, but I decided to place foam adhesive between each layer except the back solid white layer.

To make sure the foam adhesive didn’t show between layers, I started with the top layer and then worked my way down.

It’s hard to see all the layers, but this photo shows the thickness of the final project.

This really was a simple project and a good one to start with. Using cardstock from CutCardStock is ideal since the color assortment of good quality cardstock is available.
I’m gifting this whale shadow box to my coworker who loves marine life and all it entails. I hope she loves it as much as I do!
