Embossed Thank You
Hey everybody! I hope you’re having a great week! Do you like to keep a fair number of thank you cards in your stash? They sure do come in handy, that’s for sure! Leslie here, sharing an elegant embossed thank you card in my favorite mini slimline size! This card features our Stardream Metallic Onyx cardstock and Cougar Smooth White cardstock that I paired with a pretty foiled sentiment. This design is super simple, has some great texture, and would be easy to mass-produce with different sentiments.
Cut Card Base and Layers
Cut a 3-1/2” x 6” mini slimline card base from Cougar Smooth 100# White cardstock. Die cut three stitched frames from Cougar Smooth 80# White cardstock for the front, reserving one of the negative space rectangles for the inside. Similarly, die cut one stitched frame from Stardream Metallic Onyx cardstock for the inside, reserving the negative space rectangle for the front focal panel.
Emboss Focal Panel
Lightly spritz the back side of the black rectangle with water and run it through the die cutting/embossing machine in a textured embossing folder. The water helps soften the fibers, which enhances the embossing.
Create Frame
Stack the three stitched frames on top of one another and adhere them together for dimension.
Adhere Layers
Adhere the white frame to the front of the card base and adhere to the focal panel inside the frame. Next, attach the black frame to the inside and adhere the white rectangle inside the frame.
Add Sentiments
Add foiled and die-cut sentiments to the card front and inside.
Complete Project
Finish the card front by adhering several gold pearls.
