UPcycled Get Well Card!
Hey everybody! A very Happy Monday to you all! Does upcycling or recycling make you happy? It makes me so happy! Leslie here with a pretty get well card to share with you today featuring our Astrobright Eclipse Black and Pop Tone Sno Cone cardstock which I paired with my all-time favorite 110# Neenah Classic Crest Solar White – and a piece of an empty tissue box! Yep, you read that right! Seems that tissue boxes these days come in such pretty prints, so I saved one to use for the front panel of this card!
Cut Card Base and Layers
I cut a 3-1/2″ x 6″ mini slimline card base from 110# Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock. Next, I cut front and inside layering panels as well as inside embellishing strips from Pop Tone Sno Cone and Astrobright Eclipse Black cardstock. Similarly, I cut a front panel and an smaller inside piece from the tissue box and an inside panel from 80# Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock. Finally, I die cut the front sentiment from Astrobright Eclipse Black and the shadow from 80# Neenah Classic Crest Solar White.
Adhere Layers
I adhered the die cut sentiment to the shadow. For the front panel, I adhered the tissue box panel, Eclipse Black and Sno Cone panels together. Next, I adhered the smaller tissue box piece and embellishing strips to the inside Solar White panel. Then finally, I adhered the Solar White panel, Eclipse Black and Sno Cone panels together to form the inside panel.
Add Sentiments
I adhered the die cut sentiment with shadow to the front panel. I then stamped the inside sentiment in black ink.
Complete Project
I adhered the front and inside panels to the card base and added several aquamarine gemstones to the front, which completed the card.
