St. Patrick’s Day Shadowbox | Raechelle Bellus

Hello! Raechelle here today sharing my final project as a member of the CutCardStock design team.

I thought I’d go out with something fun, and something I’ve been wanting to attempt, but never quite got around to it so I figured now would be a good time! Layered SVG’s are so neat and now I can say that I’ve tackled one.

This Shadowbox uses two cut files; St. Patrick’s Day Gnome 1 from my3Dsvg (etsy) and a shadowbox from Lori Whitlock. I used the 6×6 shdowbox and skewed it to fit my completed gnome project.

I used 14, yes 14! fabulous Card Stock colors from the CutCardStock Store: I’ll list them in order by the layers, beginning with the bottommost and working my way to the top: Basis Light Blue, Discount Card Stock Red Pepper, Pop Tone Lemon Drop, Canvas Textured Bonsai Green, Basis Soft Pink, Pop Tone Tangy Orange, Discount Card Stock Orange Zest, Pop Tone Orange Fizz, Stardream Metallic Gold, Basis Pink, Basis Green, Pop Tone Gum Drop Green, and Basis White. The Showdow Box was created using 12×12 Discount Black Card Stock.

Once each layer has been cut, it’s time to assemble. (Note- full instructions are available with the purchase of the cut file.) I began at the bottom and adhered cut foam pieces to each layer in various places and built each layer carefully.

Once all layers have been adhered, I allowed them to dry overnight.

Here is an image of the layers:

The shadowbox was assembled around the layers.

I just love how the end result turned out!

It has been a pleasure to design for CutCardStock and I hope that myself and the other extremely talented designers been inspiring for you to step out of your comfort zone. Thanks for all the support!

Be sure to stock up on all you card stock needs by visiting the CutCardStock online store. Great selection and fast shipping. The best!
