Foiling on Stardream Metallic – Yes Please

Greetings friends! Today I share a card for a wedding that features hot foiling on Stardream Metallic Cardstock. I love this cardstock with a slight glimmer!

Start with the Foiling

Select and cut the colors of Stardream Metallic Cardstock. This cardstock has a Mica Coating for a subtle sparkle and shine. I used Coral, Rose Quartz and Fairway. Aren’t these colors gorgeous together?

Use Altenew’s Bronze Foil to add the tiny lines with Spellbinder’s Modern Line Foiling Plate on the Coral Card base. It is so easy using a BigShot and Spellbinder’s Glimmer Machine!

Next, foil the blooms, leaves and butterfly using Spellbinder’s Glimmered Botanical Foil Plate. Die cut the images.

Assemble the Card

Start with an A2 size card base using Cougar 100 lb White Cardstock. Cut 8.5 by 11 cardstock in half to create two 4.25 x 5.5 pieces. Score at 4.25 inches to create two bases.

Cut a piece of Gold Currency Cardstock to 4.00 x 5.25 inches and attach to the cardbase.

Trim the Coral Stardream Cardstock with the Modern Lines to 3.75 x 5.0 inches.

Using the triangle method for attaching images, I spaced the images in three corners. The smaller floral image is popped up for dimension. You can just attach the body of the butterfly using glue so it appears to be in flight.

The final step was to add a foiled sentiment. I chose one from Pink Fresh: Scripted Sentiments Foil Plate and matching Die set. Wow! You can really see that subtle sparkle in this photo!
