Pumpkin Pie Card

Happy Thanksgiving!! If you’re reading this today, you’re probably in search of a last minute craft idea while dinner is cooking, am I right? Well, before we get to this fun and easy craft idea, I have a question for you…how do you feel about pumpkin pie? Let’s discuss in the comments below, ha ha!

No matter how you feel about the sweet treat, you will probably agree that a paper-crafted version is a simply marvelous idea. And, if you’re looking for a last minute card for a host or hostess – or even place cards for your OWN table – I have an adorable slice of heaven today, using the CutCardStock papers!

Here is the fun video for how this pumpkin pie card comes together – take a look:

The “ingredients” I used in this project are delicious color combos! I’ve chosen the Adobo Orange for the pumpkin filling, a Sand Castle Tan for the inner edge, a Textured Gingersnap Brown for the pie crust, and the Basis White 80 lb. for the card base and that all important ingredient: whip topping!

The sentiment is also done in Basis White 80 lb. Paper and PopTone Black Licorice. If you have a few minutes to spare between cooking and football today, this card takes only a few minutes to “bake.”

While I did use a special candy corn die cut set to cut this out, this project can be done without dies at all! Simply cut a triangle from a folded piece of paper and add to the top. Your crust can be assembled by accordion folding a small strip of the Textured Gingersnap Brown instead.

Why not add a few of these to your dining room table display? Instead of using a sentiment, you could replace that with each guest’s name instead. Then your visitors will also have something to take home with them. Think of it as calorie-free leftovers!

I am most thankful for the opportunity to share this project with you today, and I hope that if you celebrate Thanksgiving, that you have a joyous celebration.
