I love sitting on the beach with the sun shining and creating all the shimmer and sparkle in the sand and water. I created this card using the Cut Cardstock Gold glitter cardstock with some alcohol inks to create different shades for the sand.

To start with, I cut a piece of the Gold Glitter Cardstock down into quarter sheet pieces (4 1/4″ x 5 /12″). I also used a quarter sheet each of the Stardream Metallic Opal and the Esse Pearl Textured Ivory cardstock.

I stamped my main image – the circle with sand waves – onto one piece of the Opal and onto three pieces of the Gold cardstock. I used a permanent ink that will dry on glossy surfaces.

To color the gold Cardstock, I used three different colors of brown alcohol ink. I just dropped some ink right onto the cardstock, and use a sponge blender to blend it out and then let it dry.

I also stamped a palm tree on the ivory cardstock and colored it using Copic Markers. Once all the coloring was done, I used the coordinating dies to cut out the circles and the palm tree.

The next step was to cut apart the different colored pieces of sand waves. I cut along the stamped lines for the top part of each wave and left the bottom circle part intact so I can layer them together.

How cool does that look with the different colored sand pieces! I love the glittery sparkle.

The next step was just putting the card together! I also cut a sun shape out of the gold glitter Cardstock and stamped a sentiment on the pearl ivory. I used a combination of liquid glue and foam squares to adhere all this together.
