Embossed Textured Background
Hello friends! Its Teri from TerisMailbox here to share a fun card with a color blocked embossed textured background!

Check out the video for this card!
Create the Background
Choose colors in the same color family. I am a cool color girl so I went with blue and green tones. I used Basis Blue, Basis Light Blue, Basis Teal, Basis Aqua and Basis Olive Cardstock. Use your trimmer to cut in strips landscape style. This is not a precise measure but rather just cutting strips. I went with a variety of widths.
Once the strips are cut, use double sided tape to stick the strips to the base. The base is Cougar 100 lb White Cardstock. Tip – Use a bone folder to be sure there are no bubbles between the tape and the layers of cardstock. Line the strips up until the entire panel is covered, starting at the top or bottom. It is important to be sure the first strip is straight!
After all the strips are adhered, it is time to emboss the background. Use the Sizzix Gears Embossing folder for this great masculine background.
Assemble the Embellishments

Select a masculine coordinating image as the focal point. The car is a black embossed piece from my stash (source unknown). Fussy cut the image and set aside to work on the sentiment.
The Sizzix Tim Holtz Adventure Block Die has perfect sentiments for this masculine card! This sentiment coordinates perfectly with the car! Die cut your selected sentiment with the cardstock of your choice. I chose black glossy cardstock from my stash. Be sure to line the letters up, so you can use both the positive and negative words for greater impact!

Finish the Card
The final step is to assemble the card. Add your focal image slightly off of the card for impact. I used the lower right section so the sentiment could be on the opposite side of the base.
