Rabbit Boxes |Raechelle Bellus

Hello! Spring is in the air and I’m so ready for the warmer weather and new life to begin. How about you?

Today I’m sharing a quick and cute Easter treat. I just love whimsical little bunnies and when I saw this darling cut file in the Silhouette store, I just had to pick it up (Rabbit Box design ID 292016).

I decided to create six little bunny boxes and used four Curious Metallic Card Stock colors from the CutCardStock store to create these; the bodies are using Curious Metallic Virtual Pearl, Curious Metallic Nude, and Curious Metallic Chocolate Brown. The inside ear and nose pieces feature the Curious Metallic Rose Gold. The piece that goes under the face part uses DCS Canvas Textured Shadow Grey Discount Card Stock.

Once the cut file has been cut, the first step is to remove the eye portion from the face piece and adhere it over the Shadow Grey cardstock.

Then place the Curious Metallic Rose Gold Cardstock inner ear pieces and nose pieces in place.

Next adhere the back head and front head pieces to the body. The back head will be on the back and the front on the front.

Then fold and add the ribbon (or twine as it were in my case as I live in a remote area and was unable to procure any cute spring themed ribbon). As you’ll see in the next image, the hole up front is meant for the ribbon (twine) to have both ends go through, so you’ll want to ensure that you are using something thicker or else it will not stay put, as I learned through trial and error attempting to use spring colored twine that was thinner.

Finally, place the candy inside. A small plastic egg would work well, but I was unable to locate any suitable sized eggs to fit.

For the final presentation, I cut some strips of the Bazzill Marble Easter Egg Grass CardStock to 1/4″ wide and then folded in a zig zag pattern and then cut in half to create a grass effect.

I just love how cute these little guys are! I hope I’ve inspired to you to create some cute little Easter Boxes.
