Do you love free SVG files? As a graphic designer, I love creating SVG files, and I will be sharing projects and free SVG files with you.

Hi, I am Janet from Try it – Like it – Create it, and I have a 3D Star cut file to share with you today on the CutCardstock blog.

Just in time for the holidays, you can make a 3D Star. Use it as an ornament, top of the tree decoration, or hang a few around the house. CutCardStock metallic card stock is perfect for this project.

The materials used for the star are straightforward. The cut SVG file, card stock, personal cutting machine, bone folder, twine, scissors, adhesive, and red line double stick tape. I used the Stardream Metallic Card Stock in Gold.

You want to cut out two of the star SVG. This is how the file looks after cutting and scoring. Don’t forget to set the red lines in the file to score. I set my Cricut to cut at 100 lb card stock and cut it twice.

Use a bone folder to help the fold lines if needed.

Hi, I am Janet. I am married to my husband Dan and we have two teenaged girls. Nowadays I work from home. I have always loved to create. As a child, one of my favorite things to do was talk my mom into a trip to the craft store. I took my love of art and craft and studied Graphic Design in college. Then I pursued an MFA in Graphic Design and an MS in New Media. I left a prosperous career as a college professor to raise our girls. Looking for a creative outlet, I started a website; Try it - Like it - Create it
