Personalized Party Hats

Do you love hosting parties? I sure do! However, sometimes instead of buying pre-made favors and decorations, I like to make them myself. Here is a simple way to add some personalization to your party using some pretty paper!

Supplies Needed

Basis Cardstock in White
Gold Glitter Cardstock
Pop Tone Cardstock in Grape Jelly
Pop Tone Cardstock in Wild Cherry
Tombow Adhesive
Foam Adhesive Squares
-Die Cutting Machine

To begin, I used my Silhouette Cameo cutting machine to cut out all the pieces of my party hats. The design can be found in the Silhouette Online Design Store.

Next, I used some Tombow glue and adhered the party hat base together.

A neat trick is to help roll your paper a bit before glueing.

Next, I began glueing the purple strips onto one of the hats.

Continue until the whole hat has the stripes glued.

For the other hat, I wanted some sparkly dimension, so I used a foam adhesive square on each circle.

Then in a random pattern, I adhered the circles onto the party hat. I love mixing solid colors with glittery ones!

For the topper, roll up the fringe piece and add some glue to keep it together.

Once the fringe piece has dried, bend out the pieces carefully.

Add some glue to the top of the hats and slide the glittery fringe on top.

And there is is! I love how they turned out! To keep them on your head during a party, just add a couple little holes on the bottom and tie some thin elastic to it!

When making paper projects, be sure to pay attention to the thickness (weight) of the paper. It really does make a difference!

Check out all the other white and ivory cardstock that’s on sale this month. Happy partying!
