Happy Father’s Day Card

Hi crafty friends! Father’s day is coming up next month, so I thought I would get started and make a father’s card to share today with you guys.

I started by die cutting Basis in Teal and Medium Blue. I die cut the teal with a stitched 5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″ rectangle die, and then I die cut the medium blue with a smaller stitched rectangle die with rounded corners.

I used Crafter’s Companion’s 3D Geometric Triangles embossing folder to emboss the larger rectangle die and added “Holly Leaf” ink to make the embossing pop. This is one of my favorite 3D embossing folders.

I stamped Neat and Tangled’s Scripty Sentiment “happy father’s day” in “Green Topaz“, “Grasshopper“, and “Smoked Pearl” over and over on the smaller stitched rectangle with the rounded corners.

I stamped Neat and Tangled Celebration Scripty Sentiment “happy father’s day” with “Onyx Black” Versafine ink.

A adhered the “happy father’s day” sentiment across the stamped rectangle towards the bottom using wet glue so I had a little wiggle room to get it where I wanted it.

Then, I adhered the stamped panel over the embossed card stock using foam tape. I adhered the whole panel to a 5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″ white card base.
