Need to send a bright and cheery card to a new mom or soon-to-be graduate? Coloring on intricate glitter die-cuts is a sure way to pack a punch in an envelope, and the smooth finish of Mirrisparkle Glitter Cardstock is perfect for this technique!
Start by trimming a piece of Silver Mirrisparkle Glitter Cardstock to 4.25″ x 5.5″ and then die cutting it with a floral background die. (This cardstock die cuts beautifully, but if you are using a very intricate die like this one, you may need extra shims or an electric die cutting machine.)
Color the die-cut with Copic Markers. Blending is super easy on glitter cardstock because the ink remains wet longer, so choose a few hues from each color family and have fun with it!
Trim a panel of Black Basis Cardstock to 4.5″ x 5.75″ and then cut out the center using a decorative frame die.
To adhere the die-cut, I used my Xyron machine. You can also use liquid glue for this step, but I found this method easier because the die-cut was so intricate.
Layer the sentiment on top of its shadow with liquid glue, then pop the whole thing up on top of the card using foam tabs. (side note – WOW…look at that sparkle!!)
