Hello, CutCardStock fans! Leslie here, and thanks so much for joining me on the blog today! Who doesn’t need a good old-fashioned friendship card in their stash? Sometimes a ‘pick-me-up’ means the world to a friend!

The card I’m sharing with you today features silver glitter cardstock paired with black that really pops!

I created a standard size A2 top fold card base from Classic Crest Solar White cardstock. I then cut a background panel about 1/16″ smaller than the card base from Pop-Tone Black Licorice cardstock and rounded all four corners. I cut two (unmeasured) strips from CCS Silver Glitter cardstock and then ended up cutting one more after the fact… I’m known to change my mind occasionally, lol!

I also cut a black and white gingham paper strip from a paper pad in my stash along with narrow black and silver glitter strips to embellish the inside of the card. I added a black plaid ribbon tied with a metallic silver string to a tag from my stash, which I used as the focal element on the front of the card.

I adhered the background to the card base, then adhered the three silver glitter strips and the focal element (popped up on black foam) to the card front. I finished the design with several smoke-colored gemstones.

For the inside, I adhered the gingham, black and silver glitter strips to the left side, and stamped the sentiment in black ink.
