How to Make a Little Girl’s Springtime Layout

Madison’s Spring Layout

Good morning, crafters! Penny here today to show you how to make a little girl’s springtime scrapbook layout. This layout features beautiful Curious Metallic Cardstock from CutCardStock.com, a great place to purchase all of your paper and envelope supplies.

Curious Metallic Cardstock

For my layout, I chose the following:

To start my layout, I chose this matching pattern paper. I always like to have my photo colors match my paper; it’s much more pleasing to the eye that way.

Next, I added the Curious Metallic Pink Quartz. Prior to gluing it in place, I used a pearl mist spray to go around all the edges.

To that, I added a rub-on title. I was truly amazed this rub-on worked, as I have had it forever and often times they can dry out over time and only come off in pieces. I was thrilled when that wasn’t the case here.

Added Banners

Next, I added some banners cut from another type of pattern paper with notches cut out to mimic the picket fence in my photo.

Then I mounted my photo onto the Curious Metallic Pale Aloe, which I also misted the edges of.

To make my layout a little more “girly” I also added some lace with an embedded ribbon.

Punched and Inked Flowers

I also wanted to add some flowers that matched the flower pattern paper. So I punched some from the Curious Metallic Cardstock as well. That cardstock has a lovely metallic sheen to it, and it is quite a heavyweight cardstock, so I would suggest testing your punches on a small section of it to make sure your punches are strong enough to actually punch this cardstock.

Added bling and smaller banners.

I also added the dark green leaves so that it matched the leaves in my spring photo. The leaves were just some I had removed from a sprig of silk flowers. I cut them apart and then glued them in place under my flowers. I also added some Dew Drops to my flower centers.

I hope you had fun following along today and that you will become a regular blog follower! There are also some wonderful sales going on right now so be sure and check those out for some great savings on your next crafting or printing needs.

‘Till next time, Happy Scrapping.
