Grow and Bloom Card!

Who is ready for spring? Me! Me! Me! I’m so over this cold weather. Today I have a springy card to share.
This card came together really fast but has an elegant look like it took a long time to make.
I started by die-cutting a circle out of Curious Metallic cardstock in Poison Ivory with a stitched edge. Any circle would work you could even trace one and cut it out.

I grabbed some random flower stamps – any flower stamps would work. I did use a stamp positioner but you could use an acrylic block. I used Memento Onyx Black mainly because I was planning on coloring the flowers in, but after I stamped them I liked the look of black.

To help add a little interest to the card, I stamped the sentiment and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.

I then die cut a rectangle out of Curious Metallic cardstock in Aqua Marine Blue with stitched edges and rounded corners.

Next, I ran it through my die-cutting machine in an embossing folder.
This step could be skipped but I like the look of ink I think it helps the embossing pop off the paper.

I adhered a ribbon down the front center of the embossed paper and taped it on the back. Using foam tape I adhered the circle over the ribbon towards the top of the embossed panel to leave room for a bow underneath it.
I tied a bow and adhered it with strong adhesive below the circle. Then I adhered the whole panel to a 5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″ Curious Metallic A2 folded invitation in gold leaf.

Thanks for stopping by today!
