Two Different Valentine’s Day Cards
Happy New Year! I can’t believe we are already into the second week of January. I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season.
Now it is time to get started on Valentine’s day cards. I love anything pink, so I can’t wait to be using that color in a lot of my projects in the next month and a half.
Today, I have two cards to share using Astrobright cardstock in Fireball Fuchsia and Pulsar Pink. I also used Silver Glitter and Classic Crest Solar White cardstock.
I trimmed two pieces of Pulsar Pink Astrobright cardstock down to 5-1/2″ x 5-1/2″. I took an intricate corner die and die cut one of the squares twice.
I then took the die cut square and used it as a stencil and placed it over the second piece of cardstock and took my ink blender and went over the whole piece of paper in Fushia Harmony inkpad. Now, I have the same pattern on both pieces of paper.
For the first card, I matted the die cut paper onto Silver Glitter cardstock trimmed down to 5-5/8″ x 5-5/8″. Then matted it onto a piece of Fireball Fushia Astrobright cardstock trimmed down to 5-7/8″ x 5-7/8″.
I then adhered the whole panel to a 6″x 6″ card base.
For the second card, I matted the die cut paper onto Silver Glitter cardstock trimmed down to 5-5/8″ x 5-5/8″. Then, I matted it onto a piece of Pulsar Pink Astrobright cardstock trimmed down to 5-7/8″ x 5-7/8″.
I then adhered the whole panel to a 6″x 6″ card base.
I die cut the same sentiment for both cards but did them in opposite pink shades.
I then die cut two ovals to place the sentiments on to help them pop a little bit.
I adhered the die cut ovals to the bottom right corner of both cards and then adhered the sentiments onto the die cut oval.
As a last little finishing touch, I added a few Nuvo Jewel Drops in Grey Mist on the oval around the sentiment.
