Cut and Emboss Cards
Happy Wednesday my crafty friends! It’s Lia at the blog today. Hope you are enjoying the colorful Autumn. Today I’m gonna show you two cards using the cut and emboss folders.
Since some of the background color will be shown through the cut regions, I picked a bright orange cardstock (Curious Metallic Mandarin 111 lb) as the background. Its heavy weight makes it perfect for card base. And I love the metallic shine of this cardstock. BTW, it is on sale till the end of this month.
Cut the card front using the cut and emboss embossing folders. I had some Savoy 100% Cotton Card stock from last project. To my surprise, they worked perfectly with these embossing folders. The cut was very clean and the embossing didn’t leave any creases.
Trim the edges of the card front so that the orange card base can also act like a frame.
Stamp the sentiments and glue the card front to the card base.
