The Golden Pineapple…. doesn’t that sound like a trophy you’d win for a Hawaiian surfing competition, or something? In this case, it’s me jumping on this huge trend of pineapples and adding some fantastic gold foil cardstock.
I started with a blank card, which is something CutCardStock does so well! I chose a smaller size card, A1 (also known as 4 bar). It’s nice to have a stock of these cut and scored so that when I’m ready I can just grab the card base, matching envelope and go….
I knew I wanted to compliment the gold foil cardstock I was going to use on this card, so I chose to emboss the pineapple and sentiment in gold embossing powder. Versamark ink and the Misti are must-haves for me!
After I embossed the stamped images, I added in some color detail with my Primacolor pencils. I’m not sure how realistic I colored the body of the pineapple, but I had fun with it!
Here’s a close up after I added the stamped front panel onto the pre-made card, and added some gold foil cardstock strips down both sides for accent. I love the bling and the simplicity of this card. I say you can never go wrong with a little added gold, and now is the time to stock up because all gold and silver cardstocks are on sale this month!

Confession time. I may be using the term “card” a little loosely here. This form is one of my favorites, and I’ve used it for everything from an elaborate card, to a mini album, to a book full up of tags. However, you don’t have to make the origami book guts–you can add a fancy fine translucent vellum liner paper and…
It seems like lately every where I look I am inspired by all the natural wood-grain decor, weddings I see. Hi Crafters! I love the bright colors of the Pop Tones cardstock so I wanted them to be the focus of my card. I started by stamping multiple flowers on to the Pop Tones cardstock in Razzleberry and Red Hot. Then I stamped some leaves onto three different colors of the Pop Tones cardstock- Limeade, Sour Apple Green, Jelly Bean Green. I stamped all of my images with Memento Tuxedo…
