Nothing is impossible with a little glitter either. Glitter is a great way to glam up a card and make it extra special for a gal friend. I really like the Silver and Gold POW Glitter Paper that I used on these two cards. Both are great colors. Not too bright or bold, yet pack a pretty punch of sparkly color.
For each card base, I used the Cougar White Invitations that are pre-scored and sold in packages of 50. These are A7 or 5×7 folded cards. I’m trying to make more A7 sized cards because I think they are more substantial especially for the recipient. It’s challenging though since many stamps and dies are created for A2 sized cards.
After water coloring the flowers and leaves, I die cut them. Next I added Wink of Stella in clear to each of the petals. For the orange flowers, I wanted to add gold glitter but the Wink of Stella in Gold was too dark for my taste. It actually changed the orange flowers to more of a brown color. To tone done the color, I squeezed out a little bit of Gold Wink of Stella on a craft mat and used the Clear Wink of Stella to apply a touch of gold glitter to the flowers. Before applying to the flowers, I mixed the Gold and Clear together then tested on a piece of white card stock.
Below are my finished cards with “glittery glam” and hopefully messages of encouragement and support for whoever receives them.
