As we near the end of January, my mind is focused on Valentine’s Day which will be here before you know it! Birgit here with you today with some flowers that will last, to give to your Valentine.
Here’s a snapshot of the products I used:
I started with an A2 sized card front which was cut from Astrobrights Stardust White. I cut the heart cutouts from the center and misted it with some gold shimmer spray.
I cut a square piece of Astrobrights Pulsar Pink just large enough to cover the space where the hearts will show through and mounted it with Score-Tape.
Next I cut three aster flowers out of Astrobrights Re-Entry Red, shaped them on a molding mat and glued them together using Tombow Mono Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue. The centers of the flowers were cut using scraps from my scrap bin and the leaves were cut using Basis Light Lime and other green scraps. The weight of the Astrobrights Cardstock is 65lbs. which makes it the perfect weight for creating beautifully formed flowers.
I mounted the top piece with the heart cutouts using foam tape to give it some dimension and then arranged the flowers on the card front using Tombow-Mono Multi-Purpose Liquid Glue. A stunning card to give to someone special!
You’ll find all the Astrobright Cardstock on sale until the end of January at Cut Cardstock. While you’re there, be sure to sign up for their newsletter so you’ll be among the first to be notified about up coming sales and special deals.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Blessings~ Birgit

There are many reasons we send cards. I love the fact that a card can be uplifting and let people know that someone is thinking about them. An encouraging note can make all the difference. Years ago, I noticed that a few select family members were saving the handmade cards I had sent them and displaying them on their bookshelf or mantle for a long time after the occasion had passed. Since then, I started to send larger cards with extra embellishments to these special loved ones several times a year…
Looking for an easy card background technique? Look no further. Add a fun focal image and embellishments and no one will know how easy this card is to put together. You’ll first need to select four colored papers and cut two of each color into 2.5″x3.75″ rectangles. Once you do that, cut the first set…
